Hi,
with kernel 2.6.0-test11 and the latest prism54 from CVS I can bring up
my SMC2802, but it shows
# iwconfig eth2
eth2 PRISM Duette/GT ESSID:"my essid"
Mode:Ad-Hoc Channel:6 Cell: 00:00:00:00:00:00
Sensitivity=0
Retry min limit:0 RTS thr=0 B Fragment thr=0 B
Encryption key:FFFF-FFFF-FFFF-FFFF-FFFF-FFFF-FF Security mode:restricted
Link Quality:0 Signal level:0 Noise level:0
Rx invalid nwid:0 Rx invalid crypt:0 Rx invalid frag:0
Tx excessive retries:0 Invalid misc:0 Missed beacon:0
so it seems that Cell == 00.. is wrong. I'm running debian unstable with
the appropriate packages (hotplug / iwconfig) installed. The card worked
with 2.6.0-test10 and the prism54 driver of about 2 - 3 weeks ago. After
bringing up the driver, dmesg shows:
# dmesg
Loaded prism54 driver, version 1.0.2.2
eth2: uploading firmware...
eth2: firmware uploaded done, now triggering reset...
eth2: prism54_mib_init()
eth2: islpci_open()
eth2: resetting device...
eth2: uploading firmware...
for completeness, here is what lspci shows:
# lspci -vv

I've ACPI turned OFF!
Would be nice, if I could get the card functional again ;-)
