I have a dell c600 laptop and I am using a netgear wg511 running under Fedora 
core 1 with the fedora kernel 2.4.22-1.2174.nptl.  It runs great under AC power 
but it doesn't work under DC power.  Under DC the card gets recognized and the 
module gets loaded but there is no attempt to connect to the network.  all 
lights on the card remain off.  Under both win98 and winXP the adapter runs 
fine on both AC and DC. It only has a problem running on DC under linux.
