Yes, it's annoying.

Look familiar? The 6001 device (along with others) is having a problem 
with this driver.
I'm afraid your options are either to wait for an enhancement for this 
driver (support of that chipset/card), or try another wireless card. 
Your decision will depend on your situation. Finding one that actually 
works can be frustrating. See my post at
