[Prism54-users] monitoring a single channel

I am trying to monitor a single channedl and get information about data rates. 
When using the "iwconfig eth1 mode monitor" there doesn't seem to be a way to specify the channel. Also, the transmit rate, signal noise and channel information  is not accessible. 

Is there a way to use the driver as with the Orinoco driver which defines this command :

iwpriv eth1 monitor <mode> <channel>
