Ad-hoc mode is for a p2p network where one network card 'speaks' with anoth=
er=20
network card.  Master mode enables many cards to speak between them through=
=20
the management of an AP ( or a card in master mode working as an AP ). If y=
ou=20
want to have many pcs 'speaking' between them, you need an AP.

I's as switch for many pcs or a crossed utp wire between 2 pcs.

This can be wrong, I'm not the master of knowledge.
