[Prism54-users] iwlist scan question

hey. i jut noticed this. 
iwlist scan works if the card is in managed infrastructure mode. the moment i switch it to ad-hoc mode, scan results are null.

i read someplace that iwlist scan is supported only in client mode, and am assuming that it means anything but ad-hoc? 

is there a way to get the scan to return the list even in ad-hoc (like modify the code to do it)? or is it not happening at all? i notice that it does give a list if in hostAP mode, but i really dont want to have hostAP unless absolutely necessary.

and would you have any ideas/suggestions on how you would do this?
