Thanks, just a comment about the code. 

You defined the privacy bit as:
#define CAP_CRYPT 0x03

The privacy bit is Bit4 and therefore 0x10:
#define CAP_CRYPT 0x10

0x03 would mean that bits 1 and 2 where enabled, which
should never happen in the capability field of the
beacon. (that would mean that it's in AP and AD-hoc
mode at the same time...)
