At the moment I'm still using my SMC2802W with prism54 version
2003-11-11 and 2.4.23-rc1. Experimenting with it, I
rmmod-ed/modprobed the driver multiple times also rebooted the machine
a few times, but it never hung.

This doesn't mean it works perfectly yet, see thread 'Dropped packets at
10 second intervals'
