I am getting the same results.  A few weeks ago, I tried the Prism54
drivers, and they always caused a kernel panic.  I thought I would try
again, so I just got the drivers from CVS today.  I'm using Fedora Core
1, with a custom 2.4.23 kernel.  It's an SMC2835w card, which works fine
with the driverloader drivers.

If I do an "iwlist scan", the MAC address of my AP comes up, so the
wireless card can hear the AP.

Any suggestions?
