The signal and noise work, not sure about the quality. The iwconfig reports the
old cached value, you have to run it more times. If it floats too much,
either your environment is too microwave noisy or the card could be faulty.

At 2.4GHz will so long dipol be not any good, optimal is about 12.5 cm. If you
need better signal indoor, a bi-quad antena is probably best.
