Hello,

I received a few of these new SMC PCI cards that Karsten Richter has
mentioned on the list already. With the firmware file I obtained from him
and the latest cvs snapshot from today, I was able to get this far (I set
VERBOSE high):

# iwconfig eth2
eth2 no wireless extensions.

..And that's it, doesn't work beyond ifconfig eth2 up, which gives the
timeout. So it appears that the changes Jens Maurer made to the management
code have affected this card as well as the issues listed in bug #2.
Everything else is pretty much consistent with what Karsten reported.

Any suggestions for as to what debug information I could provide or code
changes I could toy around with?

Greetings, Esa
