I have figured out what was wrong.
1) Kismet 3.0.1 does not channel hop with the prism54 driver.
2) Because of this I was always listening on the same/wrong channel and received
some data anyway because the 802.11b frequencies are overlapping (I receive
beacon packets down to channel 5 even though my AP is on channel 11!).

Anyway, there is no drop of beacon packets if I set the card to channel 11 too,
so you can mark this "bug" as INVALID.
