fyi; a compile run on linux/axp went fine w/o warnings; alas no hardware
to test against an actual prism54 card...

gave it a quick run on my notebook (ia32), and noticed some strange
delays; the notebook feels laggy now; (every few seconds the
keyboard/console freezes for under one second)
iwconfig takes longer to report status;
throughput seems ok;
