Just FYI, before kernel BUG, there is a failure of firmware upload:

My bug is very similiar to #48, #53, #72 & #79, but there is the
SMC2802W V2 card mentioned and my card is SMC2835W V2. Looks like
V2 & newmac problem ... If yes, close this bug & sorry for your
time.
