Not too sure but a quick google search tells me that most seem to be using
"IEEE 802.11b" or so. I can see why you would use this, but I also do like
our current setup displaying the card model by subsystem. I don't know any
other wireless driver even checking for subsystem ids.

Linux's way of showing in a nice list the name of PCI devices is through
lspci... so we *could* leave the job of showing users they card model
names to updating the pci id list.

I like the way we currently have it setup.
