Hello,
I have switched recently from a self-build 2.4.26 Kernel to the
kernel-image-2.6.9-1-k7 kernel provided by Debian/testing
eth1 is a prism54 based PCI Card

During shutdown I have now often a never ending stram of messages:
unregister_netdevice: waiting for eth1 to become free. Usage count=1
unregister_netdevice: waiting for eth1 to become free. Usage count=1
unregister_netdevice: waiting for eth1 to become free. Usage count=1
...
The message seems to come from
net/dev.c but the comments there do not say much to me.
Where should I look next?
Frank
