Hello list,

I can't seem to get my DLink DWL-G650 PCI-card to work on my Gentoo-box.
It is never initialized and no firmware is sent to the card.

Any hints in the right direction are welcome. Here is some output:

On modprobe prism54:

And then nothing more. It never detects my DWL-G650?

Hotplug is installed:
>> root at snigel linux # emerge -s hotplug

/etc/init.d/hotplug is started.

I do have the firmware, but since the card doesn't seem to be found, it
is never loaded:
>> root at snigel linux # ls -al /usr/lib/hotplug/firmware/
>> total 93
>> drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 72 2004-07-12 04:55 .

>> -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 93996 2004-07-12 04:43 isl3890

Some kernel config:
>> root at snigel linux # zcat /proc/config.gz | grep CONFIG_HOTPLUG
>> CONFIG_HOTPLUG=y
>> CONFIG_HOTPLUG_PCI=y
>> # CONFIG_HOTPLUG_PCI_FAKE is not set
>> # CONFIG_HOTPLUG_PCI_COMPAQ is not set
