Kernel 2.6.3 to 2.6.7

Hi all,
I've come across a really odd behaviour of my Prism54 PC-Card when
upgrading to a kernel 2.6.5+. Currently I'm testing with 2.6.7.
My SIS630/740 based notebook has a build in ethernet port that is
supported by the sis900 driver (and that has been working fine for
ages).
However, when I boot the 2.6.7 kernel and insert (or activate) the
prism54 card, I get really odd interfaces:
# ifconfig
eth0 Protokoll:Ethernet Hardware Adresse 00:90:F5:0C:8C:0B
UP BROADCAST MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1
RX packets:0 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0
TX packets:0 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0
Kollisionen:0 Sendewarteschlangenlänge:1000
RX bytes:0 (0.0 b) TX bytes:0 (0.0 b)
Interrupt:10 Basisadresse:0x3200
eth1 Protokoll:UNSPEC Hardware Adresse
00-00-90-F5-00-00-00-C7-00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00
UP BROADCAST RUNNING MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1
RX packets:0 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0
TX packets:0 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0
Kollisionen:0 Sendewarteschlangenlänge:1000
RX bytes:0 (0.0 b) TX bytes:0 (0.0 b)
eth2 Protokoll:Ethernet Hardware Adresse 00:04:E2:AA:41:A0
UP BROADCAST RUNNING MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1
RX packets:0 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0
TX packets:0 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0
Kollisionen:0 Sendewarteschlangenlänge:1000
RX bytes:0 (0.0 b) TX bytes:0 (0.0 b)
Interrupt:10
The prism card shows up as eth2 (though it should be eth1) and the eth1
shows up and seems somehow really bugged up. Without the prism card eth0
works fine and the eth1 garbage is not shown.
Has anyone ever had a similar problem and found a way to solve this?
Are there any ideas as to how I could go further debugging this?
TIA
Stefan.
