Hello,

I've bought a SMC 2802W cards and I've several problems to
configure it under Linux RedHat 9 with Prism54 driver.

First, this card reports a new subsystem ID when I do a lspci -vvvn
00:08.0 Class 0280: 1260:3890 (rev 01)
        Subsystem: 1113:ee03

I'm using linux kernel 2.4.23 with the lastest prism driver 1.0.2.2, latest firmware and cvs
version 12/01/2004 and it doesn't work. I've test several driver and firmware but ... nothing :-(

Here is what I'm doing:

modprobe prism54
iwconfig eth1 mode master
iwconfig eth1 essid "test-net"
ifconfig eth1 192.168.25.1 up

But I'm not able to send any packet ...

OUTPUT OF iwconfig

[root@test root]# iwconfig eth1

This cards works under Windows and with DriverLoader (but it doesn't
support master mode) so the hardware is good. The main chip on the
card is ISL 3886PIK

No error message on /var/log/messages & dmesg. I've disabled
ACPI/APIC/APM/PnP OS in my BIOS. Any idea ?

Thank you,

Louis.
