Hi all,

I have downloaded the CVS 02/04/2004 prism54 driver and compiled it as a
module and load it on a Linux 2.4.24 system. The firmware is 1.0.4.3. The
radio I am using is a ZCom XG-650. I configured the radio as follows:
iwconfig eth0 mode master
iwconfig eth0 essid myssid
iwconfig eth0 key [1] 1234567890

Then I used iwconfig eth0 to list the configuration and confirm that the
above settings have been correctly applied, and the security mode is
restricted (shared key).

On a PC with a DLink AirBus DWL-650, I configured the DLink card to use the
same encryption key and key id.

If "shared key" authentication is used with the DLink radio, no connection
can be established; but if "open system" authentication is used with the
DLink radio, the connection is successfully established.

I also tried an earler version CVS 2004/01/04, similar results.

I guess that the "shared key" authentication does not work with the prism54
driver. Can anyone help solve the problem?

Thanks,

JP
