[Prism54-users] modprobe can't locate module prism54

Please help, the better half is demanding wireless networking or a return to 
windows !!!!!

I am get the above probelm when I try:

root> modprobe prism54
modprobe can't locate module prism54

I have downloaded, made clean, modules and install the latest modules tarball
all went OK, no warnings, nice and easy, how my spirits soared

I have firmware in place, hotplug running, yenta_socket and firmware_class 
loaded.  lspci can see the card (an SMC2835W) just fine. dmesg can see the 
card being installed, I see cb_alloc and PCI Enabling happening.

I am running Mandrake 9.2, kernel 2.4.22-10mdk with required three config 
settings set, I realise this is a point release too low but surely that can 
not be stopping it seeing the modules with modprobe.

What have I missed ?
