Dear list,...
I'm new in wlan world and linux kernel. However, i'm familiar with linux
commands and environment.
I read Linux Wireless usage by Jean_Tourrilhe section 5 (how to identify a
card). So I plug my USB wlan device, and i got this log:
Dec 11 14:51:22 sahabi kernel: usb 1-1: new full speed USB device using
address 2
Dec 11 14:51:22 sahabi kernel: usb 1-1: SerialNumber: SN027009358
Dec 11 14:51:22 sahabi /etc/hotplug/usb.agent[3810]: need a device for this
comm
and
Dec 11 14:51:24 sahabi kernel: prism2usb_init: prism2_usb.o: 0.2.1-pre20
Loaded
Dec 11 14:51:24 sahabi kernel: prism2usb_init: dev_info is: prism2_usb
Dec 11 14:51:24 sahabi kernel: drivers/usb/core/usb.c: registered new driver
pri
sm2_usb
Dec 11 14:51:24 sahabi /etc/hotplug/net.agent[3861]: SIOCSIFFLAGS: No such
device
Dec 11 14:51:29 sahabi ifup: No configuration found for wlan0
So the simple question is, Is my wlan device detected? Is it possible
(somehow, patch the kernel or something) running on linux? This is my first
move since i read the docs. Any suggestions knowing this log?
Thanks,
Adinda Praditya
