So the stupid question comes now:
  How can I get it to work with RH9, my machine sees it, but does not
identify it properly...  RH9 uses 2.4.20 for a kernel and the latest =
seems to
be built for 2.4.22.

Yeah, this card is supported already ;)

1260:3890 is the standard chipset PCI ID
