[Prism54-users] Access Point Mode and Client Mode: any working config?

Hi!

I'm trying to configure two Linux boxes to communicate using two wireless
cards. The cards are SMC2802W EU (Prism Duette) PCI.

Till now I was able to compile and load the module islpci.o. I was also able
to send ping from one host to the other, but only if I use Auto (PROMISCOUS)
Mode on both. If someone is interested I can provide the setup script. The
bitrate is very far (lower!) from the claimed 54Mb/s.

The problem is that I want to use the Access Point Mode, but no traffic is
flowing on the wireless link in that mode.

- One host is configured as Access Point Mode (Master).
- The other host is configured in Managed Mode (Client)
- The Client aknowledge the Master, switching to te correct frequency and
bitrate. The handshake works, because if I set a different ESSID the hosts
  does not handshake.

Now I have this configuration on the Master and on the Client:

eth2 PRISM Duette ESSID:"pippo"
          Mode:Master Frequency:2.437GHz Bit Rate=54Mb/s
          RTS thr=2347 B Fragment thr=2346 B

eth2 PRISM Duette ESSID:"pippo"
          Mode:Managed Frequency:2.437GHz Bit Rate=54Mb/s
          RTS thr=2347 B Fragment thr=2346 B

But no packets are transported on the link, I ifconfig'ed the two wireless
interface. I also tried bridging the wireless card with an Ethernet on the
master. The RX packets count remains zero on both hosts.

Does anybody have a working configuration script for the Access Point Mode and
the relative Client Mode?

Thanks in advance!
