[Prism54-users] Does Ad-Hoc mode work on prism54 [netgear wg511]?

I've tried these 2 combinations on the netgear wg511 (debian unstable here):

kernel        kpatch
------        -----
2.6.0-test10  patch-2.6.0-test10-prism54-CVS-2003-11-24.bz2
2.6.0-test9   patch-2.6.0-test9-prism54-CVS-2003-11-11.bz2 

everythings fine in infrastructure.
but no ad-hoc. it doesnt join or create any cell.

i dont know if ad-hoc is supported on this (iwpriv doesnt show any results which look relevant to it, like get/set_port perhaps?)
my question is, is ad-hoc supported, and if so, is there a patch which would make it so for either the 2.6-test10 or the 2.6-test9?
