[Prism54-users] prism54-Module loads, but doesn't initiate anything

I am trying to get my SMC28002W working.

I successfully compiled my kernel 2.4.23-rc3 and the prism54-cvs20031121
driver. The hotplug and wirless-tools are also included, the kernel HAS
firmware-functionality included, firmware is installed properly. lspci
-v also recognizes my card:

When I do "modprobe prism54" anything seems to work fine and lsmod shows
(beside other modules):

_But_ taking a look with dmesg |tail:

Loaded prism54 driver, version 1.0.2.2
PCI: Found IRQ 5 for device 00:09.0
[EOF]

The module doesn't even try to upload any firmware or complaints about
some errors. I also tried to play arround with slots and IRQs (formerly
I had shared IRQs but that wasn't the problem).

When I now try to do something like "iwconfig eth0" I get:
eth0      PRISM Duette/GT
          Link Quality:0  Signal level:0  Noise level:0
          Rx invalid nwid:0  Rx invalid crypt:0  Rx invalid frag:0
          Tx excessive retries:0  Invalid misc:0   Missed beacon:0

and in /dev/messages tons of:
islpci_mgt_response(): queue empty, retrying (jiffies left = 90[downto]0

May anyone help?
