yes, it was the frikin hotplug, who for some reason didnt run.. Now it works
like a charm

but not with 2 cards ;-(

with 2 card the module loads, the system does actually display 2 cards and
iwconfig identifies them as SMC-s
but is unable to do anything with the second card.

Anyone tried that before ? got any hints ?
