------- Additional Comments From misha at nasledov.com 2005-04-27 22:07 -------
Reproduced with kernel 2.6.11.7.

As for AP hardware, I really have no clue -- it would require serious digging to
find out. I have a LinkSys Repeater/AP of some sorts in my apartment; I forgot
the model #. I have this same problem wherever I go -- my university employs
dozens of access points all over and they are definitely different from mine. As
I said, it would require serious digging and inquiries to the networking
department to find out the AP hardware/firmware versions. I also have this same
problem at work, which is yet another completely different environment. I think
it's definitely something wrong with either the card or the drivers, not the AP.

My wireless card seems to work just fine otherwise, but I just saw the link
quality jump from 0 to 246 right before my eyes!

Encryption is not being used. All of these are 802.11b access points.
