I'm getting the same error with my SMC2802
However, everything works fine on my lappy using a DrayTek Vigor 540 PCMCIA card.
Both are PrismGT v1's

At this point I'm tempted to get a PCMCIA->PCI convertor and try my DrayTek in
my main PC

Both systems using 2.6.8-gentoo-r4
