I also had a lot of trouble with 1.0.4.3 on SMC2802W V1: very frequent dropouts
(every 1-2 minutes) during heavy network activity. Using 1.0.3.0 is much better
(average ~1 dropout/hang per day, more frequent with higher traffic).

Unfortunately, the Gentoo ebuild installs 1.0.4.3 firmware (no choice for
user)... I'm working on fixing that.
