I've got a SMC2835W, and I'm getting the same error, immediately when I try
loading the firmware:

My socket/card is not faulty, and I don't think my IRQ line is really too busy,
because 
a) the card works under windows
b) the card works under ndiswrapper
(This is with yesterday's CVS version of the modules)
