Hi,

I have a strange problem with the prism54 driver and my miniPCI card:
The card works with the prism54 driver very well, but after a reset or reboot
without shutting down the card via "ifconfig down", the card doesn't work any
more (eth1: timeout waiting for mgmt response for every management transaction).
iwpriv reset doesn't help.

If I do a complete power cycle, the card works again without any problems.

The problem occurs in very different environments.
- PPC405 (embedded system) and X86 (pentium 4 mobile, laptop)
- WLAN miniPCI card: Z-Com XG-600, 17cf:0014 (Subvendor/Subdevice), 1260:3890
(Vendor, Device) ) and XG-601
- driver version: cvs version (4.5.2004) for 2.4.25 or 2.6.5 (from a knoppix 3.4)

I'll attach the output of the driver in case of working and in case of not
working to the bug report separately.

It seems, that other people suffers from a bug like this, too. I found in the forum:
