           Summary: Out of memory crash
           Product: prim54
           Version: 1.0.2.2
          Platform: other
        OS/Version: Linux 2.6
            Status: NEW
          Severity: blocker
          Priority: P2
         Component: Device Driver
        AssignedTo: prism54-devel@prism54.org
        ReportedBy: jelte.werkhoven@itfy.com

The prism54 module causes my system to lock up with out of memory messages.

Mar 30 11:42:27 plankje kernel: eth1: Out of memory, cannot handle oid 0x0c0002ff
Mar 30 11:42:27 plankje kernel: eth1: timeout wating for mgmt response 1000,
trigging device
Mar 30 11:42:28 plankje kernel: eth1: timeout waiting for mgmt response

This seems to happen in two situations:
- ifconfig reports the card as up ( but no lights are burning on the card ) and
I ping to an address associated with the card.
- I remove the module from the kernel and then reload it again.

I am using a 2.6.4 kernel with the latest stable patch (downloaded yesterday).
The machine is a Dell C600 with SuSE 9.0 installed, the card is a SMC2835W.
