What is the status of this bug?

i have the same error on my card. running kernel 2.6.1, 2.6.2 or 2.6.3 (all
gentoo kernels). I am able to use the snapshots from before and around 20040130,
but the likn is very unstable. When i take any snapshot later than that up to
today, i have the behaviour described in this bug. furthermore it seems that if
i keep plugging and unplugging the device a couple of times, sometimes i get it
up and running, with a very good, stable and fast link, but unfortunately the
rest of my system starts acting very weird... for example if i point my firefox
browser to forums.gentoo.org and enter something in the search area in the right
corner, the browser completely crashes. This ONLY happens when i have the new
snapshots loaded (i know it sounds weird, but it's true ;) ). There are also
some other weird things (ifconfig locks up completely and other things).
