firware 2.4.3.2 was seen, it is for 'newmac' cards,
not (yet) supported. Not listed here since I don't
have it.

Hmm. This contains an .arm file identical to 1.0.3.0.arm

Indeed, I have this file and I use it. Can you confirm
that 1.0.4.3 hangs for you while 1.0.3.0 works?
