------- Additional Comments From chkr@plauener.de 2004-06-03 05:40 -------
Hi,
Ok, I'll clarify this:
The minipci card is in an embedded system with a PowerPC.
- Power Cycle: By power cycle I mean to power down the complete device (this
means the embedded system (this includes the miniPCI bus) and the miniPCI card
which is connected to the bus). After power up the complete device, the card
works fine.
- Reset/Reboot: This means that the powerpc will reset and the powerpc will also
do a reset on the PCI bus (means: the RST# pin of the miniPCI bus is pulled down
for a short time). I verified the reset on the miniPCI bus with an analyzer. But
the reset does not power down the PCI bus. After the reset the linux boots.
That's why I mentioned "reboot". ;-) After a reset the card does not work.
If I can help you further in any way to solve the bug, please ask and I'll do my
best... ;-)
> Is this still happening with the latest cvs code
Yes, the bug is still there (snapshot: prism54-cvs20040603.tar.bz2).
best regards,
Christian
