Summary: SMC2835 : no network afer resume from standby (ACPI
                    sleep state S3)
           Product: prim54
           Version: 1.1
          Platform: PC
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: Device Driver
        AssignedTo: prism54-devel at prism54.org
        ReportedBy: d_leemans at pandora.be

OS : Slackware 10.0, kernel 2.6.7, ACPI enabled
HW : Toshiba Satellite Pro 6000 laptop, SMC 2835 V2 card
firmware : 1.0.4.3

The SMC card works fine on boot, but fails when the laptop resumes from S3.
dmesg shows this on resume :

...
eth0: mgmt tx queue is still full
NETDEV WATCHDOG: eth0: transmit timed out
eth0: resetting device...
eth0: uploading firmware...
eth0: firmware uploaded done, now triggering reset...
eth0: timeout waiting for mgmt response 1000, trigging device
eth0: mgmt tx queue is still full
...

The last line repeats hundreds of times.

At the same time, my keyboard and mouse lock up about every minute.
iwconfig then shows "no wireless extensions" for the SMC (eth0), but ifconfig
still shows eth0 being configured with an IP address. However, no network is
available.

The only thing that helps is "cardctl eject/cardctl insert", after which the SMC
seems to work fine again.
Needless to say, it would be nice if the SMC resumed properly and continued
working.

If you need more info, don't hesitate to ask.

Thx
