Hi guys,

good news: I just got this strange SMC 2802 V2 card partially up.

It initializes but does not report a MAC address.

I finally figured out where the firmware is located and was able to
extract it from the windows driver.

The exact size of firmware version 2.4.3.2 is 28944 byte, wasn't sure if
attachments are okay, so if someone's interested in the file, I can
either post it here or send it via PM.

It seems that the card does not require the soft firmware
loading mentioned by Luis which means that it should work with the
current driver version (probably with some modifications).

When loading the newly extracted firmware the interface at least seems
to accept it and triggers the reset interrupt:

eth2: islpci_open()
eth2: resetting device...
eth2: uploading firmware...
eth2: firmware uploaded done, now triggering reset...
eth2: prism54_mib_init()

islpci_mgt_response(): queue empty, retrying (jiffies left = 10
islpci_mgt_response(): queue empty, retrying (jiffies left = 0

Can anyone give me a hint what these mean?

Regards
