Hello,
We exactly wish to know which function issues the probe request signal or does the firmware takes care of it.
and also same with scanning process i.e. does the scanning process is taken care by firmware or any other function.
Now if the scanning process is taken care by firmware is there any chance(alternate way) of user to scan the channels.
Also how to know on which channel probe request is sent.
And how to set the channel to probe on that channel for an Access point.
Expecting a detail reply from all prism54 developers.

If I issue this command:
iwconfig eth1 essid ""
it will choose the best AP, and connect to it.
is this what your looking for?
but if you just want to scan, try "iwlist eth1 scan"
