Thanks for the quick reply!  However, in 2.6, the CONFIG_FW_LOADER
option is found in

Device Drivers  --->
	Generic Driver Options  --->
		Hotplug firmware loading support

and not in

Library routines  --->
	Hotplug firmware loading support (EXPERIMENTAL)

as is stated in the README.

Yep, but not when you don't patch your kernel. ;)
