I drop a note to Karsten and the best way is if SuSE is going with the
latest hotplug scripts, but that is up to them.

why is that? The code does not use any Bash specific syntax and it works
perfect on my Debian Sid. Nobody complained about it so far. Please show
me the thread you discussed this.
