[Prism54-devel] Attempting to assoc with hostap-driven AP

Hi folks!

I just installed SMC card with prism54 chip
I'm trying to assoc with nearby (1 meter)
hostap-driven AP Its associating but is unstable.

The setup:

AP box:
  hw: DLink DWL-520 802.11b Prism2.5 PCI card
  kernel: 2.6.2-rc2
  patches:
=09hostap-linux-2.6.0-test2.patch (hostap-0.1.2 I believe),
=09patch-2.6-prism54-cvs-latest.bz2
(btw, patch-2.6-prism54-cvs-YYYYMMDD.bz2 would be better for
version identification purposes, /me thinks)

This box was acting as AP and WDS for quite some time.
STAs were DWL-520s too. Now I try to add STA with this new card.

STA box:
  hw: SMC 2802W
  kernel & patches: same

I modprobe prism54 and upload firmware w/o problems.
Then I try to associate.

watch 'iwconfig eth1' shows:
Mode:Managed  Channel:11  Access Point: 00:05:5D:FA:58:45
=09but after ~15-30 sec it is falling back to
Mode:Managed  Channel:nn  Access Point: 00:00:00:00:00:00
=09and reassociating again...
