When the card is severly locked up, the only way to get the only way to get it
back working is to power down the computer (or to unplug the card if cardbus).
If the driver tries to readl on the card, it will hang the sytem. I think that
when the connection is restored, the card is still a bit fucked up.
The source of all this seems to be some retry/delay in pci master mode
communication.
