Hi Fabian, hello list.

After issuing "ifconfig eth1 up" i was able to set the OIDs, thank you.

When i selected a channel it started transmitting beacon frames my
kismet recognizes. ;-)

Right now i'm making ok progress towards having a working AccessPoint.
Does anyone have experience with the netlink interface to the driver?

AFAICT i need to write a daemon listening on the netlink interface for
authenticating clients at the AP.

The daemon provided by intersil (unfortunately without source) does
segfault when the "datastore" process isn't running. :-(
so i need to reimplement that daemon (i won't do proper 802.1x, i
guess... for this project i probably won't even support WEP)

Does anyone have source code available for such things (maybe the hostap
project has a similar interface, does anyone know?)
